You might gather by my chosen business name that I am a little quirky. Working in marketing and communications roles within various organisations for over 20 years, predominantly financial services and retail, one of the key things that I’ve learnt is that it’s important to stay true to yourself and your own brand. I love what I do, find it fun, interesting and rewarding and so started The Marketing Elf as a way to share my experience and skills more broadly (and as a little bit of an outlet from the every day routine).
The name The Marketing Elf came from my love of beautiful but unique things. I’m also a little vertically challenged and so “Elf” was something that some of my family felt suited my nature, so I guess I just stuck with it. I am pretty happy that I was able to build a brand around my own individuality and this individuality is what you need to help get cut through in such a noisy, busy world.
It’s not just my experience that helps drive marketing results, this Elf worked hard to achieve both a Bachelor and Masters degree in Marketing. As well as running the Elf, I still work for a large national retailer in marketing (and love it!), as well as working on volunteer and committee roles within my little hamlet village I call home. My creativity is driven from my environment and I want to share my experience and skills with others.
If you have a specific need, or just interested to find out a bit more about me, reach out. This Elf loves a chat and you never know what you might find out! I look forward to hearing from you.
